Long read but the condensed question is at the very end!

Let me preface with this statement:

I am not posting this to brag
I am not posting this to brag
and...I am not posting this to brag!

So I went on one of my casino trips this weekend and started out the night playing $5 video poker. About 25 minutes and $200 into the night, I get dealt AQ spades and hold em' hoping for a match at least. The KJ10 spades were then dealt to make a Royal Flush. I was stoked as this was only my 3rd royal in two years. Machine locks up for hand payout of $4,000! Gave my wife $3500 to hold on to and go back to some other machines.

Couldn't get on another machine of that denomination so I settled for $1.25 poker machine. Burned about $70 when I get a J hearts dealt with four junk cards. Hold the Jack and BOOM, AKQ10 hearts on re-deal for, YEP, another royal flush! $1000 hit! Gave it all to my wife so I wouldn't be tempted to play higher limit poker. Still had about $500 on me so I went to the slots and sat down at this one game.

This game was burning my money fast and I was down to only about $160 when I got this hit:

$1200 hand payout! After tipping out the slot tech who paid me, I give the wife the remaining $1160 to hold on to. With my remaining $160, I went on to play somewhere else and burned through it pretty fast. "Borrowed" $200 more from my wife and played a bank of machines she was at. Money was up and down for a few hours at this point and I was getting bored so I told her I was going to play poker right after I burned through the $50 that was in my machine. All of a sudden, the machine started going crazy and this is what happened.....

HOLYCRAP!!!!!

Another $1200 handpay!!!! All together, $7400 in winnings in a relatively short amount of time. (About 6-7 hours). While this is not the biggest win I have had at the casinos, it was one that will have to add to the top of the most exciting wins list.

At the beginning of the thread I said it was not for me to brag (I'm more stoked than anything) but I would love to hear anyone else who would like to brag about their biggest wins whether it was at a casino or lottery win.

I won a bean bag in a raffle in college.
You poor soul, I thought my life was the greatest when I won free pizza for a year when I was in college. I have to admit though, a beanbag chair would have been pretty awesome too. It sure would have beat the three-fold lawn chair sofas and electrical wire spool coffee tables we had at our dorn!

Had that thing for about 15 years, finally had to get rid of it.

Back when I was about 16 or 15 went with some friends to one of the horse race tracks . Had $20.00 on me for betting and food was down to my last 5 bucks and it was last race of night so I put it on some glue factory candidate . Race starts my horse is dead last by a lot. There was a huge wreck involving all the horses ( this was harness racing the ones with the jockey riding a little buggy behind the horse) , and because my horse was so far behind he just trotted around the wreck and won. Cashed in a $499 ticket. My Dad made me open a checking account with my winnings was mad at the time, but as usual parents know best. I've won larger sums since then , but that was the sweetest one I have ever won, and also most rewarding since I started my checking account with that

I remember sneaking into those harness races in NY when I was growing up in Massachusetts. Nothing like winning 500x your investment, that is a sweet win!

Here is one more true story. Went to a casino here in ny and they had a contest where you swipe your card and win prizes. Swiped my card on 2 days and 2nd time won $5,000

Tip for the original poster...Never play the slot machines again!!

I don't know a single person who is able to quit while they are ahead playing slots.

I have many 4 figure poker hands in cash games stories , but my wife says people just nod and pretend to listen when I tell about them..

I swap between the tables and machines depending on my mood. I learned a long time ago why the machines are so volatile and bankrolls dwindle so fast!

I have a bigger reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving than any amount of a Casino win.
A very close Family Member was close to death and had to have emergency Surgery against long odds.
My family Member defied the odds, and hopefully many more years ahead.
Of course Managment was upset I would not be in work that day, and was demanding I come in to work. at least other Employees were concerned.

I worked too hard for my money. I can find better things to do with it than donate fists full of it at some Indian casino. Five or six bucks at BINGO while I'm having a couple beers is the extent of my donating. At least the VFW does some good with it.

I've mentioned this before....playing 4-card keno (machine), I got 7 out of 7 numbers for $7000.00 ($1 bet).
We were there for 5 days and I got one of those each day. Of course you use a lot of your winnings to finance you and spouse the next day, but we financed ourselves for 5 days.
I took home money and 6 or 7 1099 forms for the IRS.
We still manage to get the7 out of 7 jackpot almost every trip. If not, I'm good for a royal once in awhile.
