UPS is working with two local non-profit organizations to upcycle thousands of old uniforms into dog leashes, benefitting programs to provide much-needed homes and jobs for Atlanta-area residents – including some four-legged ones.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) honored UPS with a SmartWay® Excellence Award. The award recognizes industry leaders in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency. UPS was acknowledged for its commitment to using alternative fuels and advanced technologies to improve transportation and operations sustainably, as well as for its transparency in reporting SmartWay data on emissions reductions.

Kate Johnson and Russell Stokes join Board, John Stankey leaves to focus on his responsibilities as CEO AT&T Inc.

UPS today announced the election of Kate Johnson, President, Microsoft US, and Russell Stokes, President & CEO of GE Aviation Services and Chairman of GE Power Portfolio, to the UPS Board of Directors, effective immediately. In addition, UPS announced that John Stankey is leaving the board to focus on his responsibilities as CEO AT&T Inc., a position he was appointed to in July 2020. Stankey had served on the board since 2014.

UPS announced today that it expects to sign-up at least 50,000 seasonal employees this Friday, October 30, in its annual one-day ‘UPS Brown Friday’ hiring blitz at company locations across the country.

Operating plan includes special air sort dedicated to Apple shipments

UPS drivers are on the road across the United States and internationally, making highly- anticipated deliveries of Apple’s new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Air. October 23 is launch day for the new iPhone and iPad, and UPS has worked for weeks to ensure that pre- ordered devices will be delivered to customers and retail stores as promised. UPS is a major carrier involved in the launch, and is delivering iPhones and iPads to stores, distribution centers and customers in more than 20 countries.
