UPS today announced that its board of directors has appointed Angela Hwang to the board, effective immediately.
Hwang, age 54, is a member of Pfizer’s Executive Team and is Group President of the Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group, which comprises approximately 80% of Pfizer’s revenues. In this role, she leads more than 26,000 global colleagues and has responsibility for bringing over 600 innovative medicines and products to patients around the world.
Leading global logistics provider UPS has announced a collaboration with trade and e-commerce consultancy professionals Global Brand Inc. to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Japan reach more overseas customers via the world’s leading online marketplaces.
The collaboration combines Global Brand Inc.’s comprehensive knowledge of the top e-commerce shopping platforms, including Amazon, eBay and Lazada, with UPS’s world-renowned cross-border shipping and logistics expertise to provide SMBs in Japan a holistic suite of essential solutions to help drive international business growth.
The UPS Foundation today announced the donation of $481,100 to non-profits in the Louisville, Kentucky, regional area – including parts of Southern Indiana – who are supporting pandemic relief efforts. This is in addition to the $297,000 UPS donated locally earlier this year for Covid-19 relief efforts.
Some of the larger recipients of the 39 regional grants include University of Louisvillle, Dare to Care, WaterStep, Uspiritus, Ronald McDonald House – Kentucky, Volunteers of America, Association of Community Ministries, Scarlet Hope, SOS International, Family Scholar House, and Home of the Innocents. The money from the UPS donations will go to support their critical operations.
