United Parcel Service, Inc. today announced that its 2020 Annual Meeting of Shareowners scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. ET, will be conducted through virtual means only due to the public health concerns related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and to support the health and safety of its shareowners, employees and stakeholders. Shareowners can participate via live webcast, but may not physically attend the meeting this year.

As described in the proxy materials for the Annual Meeting, shareowners as of the close of business on March 16, 2020, the record date, are entitled to participate in the Annual Meeting.

• UPS managing and brokering 25 flights over the next two weeks
• UPS-managed Project Airbridge flights delivering more than three million pounds of materials including masks, surgical gowns, gloves, medical swabs and thermometers in high-demand within the U.S. healthcare system
• Shipments originating from China, Malaysia, Honduras, among other countries
• UPS opening new 450,000 square-foot UPS Healthcare facility in Louisville with dedicated space for FEMA 
• UPS managing 24/7 operation of receipt and distribution of PPE, at FEMA’s direction

• Working with global companies to transport testing kits, personal protection equipment (PPE) and medical devices needed in support of public safety and to speed diagnosis and therapy for COVID-19
• Supporting FEMA, Project Airbridge, and other government agencies with supply chain and shipping services for respirators, test kits, and PPE across the U.S.
• Helping U.S. state health agencies secure needed supplies and set up testing sites at state-designated locations
• UPS is also working with Henry Schein, McKesson, and other valued customers to facilitate movement of PPE and other needed materials from suppliers to testing centers and distributors all over the US
• Assisting DuPont, and numerous other companies such as Uline, Grainger and Taylor Corporation, with the logistics and transportation of supplies for drive-through test centers
• Distributing critical, life-saving medications to physician offices, health systems and veterinary clinics in support of AmerisourceBergen
• Moving new FDA approved rapid-response test kits to test sites across the country to help flatten the curve of the virus’s impact

• Support surpasses $6 million in grants, logistics and transportation, and collaboration with more than a dozen relief agencies deploying novel Coronavirus initiatives.
  
• Relief spans local, national and global efforts bringing urgent medical supplies, food and housing support, and financial assistance to aid recovery efforts.

The UPS Foundation, which leads the global citizenship programs for UPS, announced it has expanded its response to the novel Coronavirus, including new grant allocations, surpassing $6 million to United Nations agencies, humanitarian relief partners and community-based non-profit and international non-government organizations.

UPS continues to deliver for customers even as Coronavirus uncertainty is requiring greater flexibility and creativity to adapt to new social distancing and other health maintenance protocols. Recently, the White House through the Rapid-Response Taskforce for Coronavirus Testing Sites asked UPS to assist with the logistics planning and operations to support the opening and regular operation of drive-up Coronavirus community-based testing sites in several cities. UPS is ready to assist with transportation support as needed for the community-based testing sites.
