UPS Commends The Governments Of The United States, Canada And Mexico For Signing The USMCA

UPS® (NYSE: UPS), a global logistics provider and leading advocate for global trade, applauds the U.S., Canada, and Mexico for modernizing a pact that is vital to all three economies. The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) brings the trilateral agreement into the 21st century with provisions that will boost economic growth and promote job creation.

“The new USMCA will help to take time, cost and complexity out of trade between the United States, Mexico and Canada,” said David Abney, Chairman and CEO of UPS. “Specifically, the agreement will significantly improve customs regulations, spur the growth of e-commerce through new digital trade rules and support the participation of more small businesses in regional and global supply chains.”

UPS has been a vocal supporter of modernizing the North America trade regime and bringing it into the 21st-century. We urge the three countries to work diligently and quickly through their ratification processes. UPS will provide any support needed as governments develop their implementing regulations.
