can a bid route driver bump a non bid route driver. My understanding is once you bid a route that’s your route everyday and you can no longer jump around like a cover or non bid driver. Is that true and if so what are the exceptions to that rule
I’m a full time package driver but the lowest in seniority and work has slowed down so there are no routes for me.. I’ve been working both preload and sort to get my 8.. we have 2 part time air routes every day and I’m being told I can’t take either one because it’s strictly for air drivers...

Update time:
My full time supervisor told me he'd let me have the opportunity to switch from Preload to Sort/Unload/Loading Trailers. Loading is a bit weird for me but I'll get used to it. Unload and sort are cake. Where can I go from here though? Pt sort supervisor? What are my options for...

I know it's a topic that comes up a lot, but how many people are fired because of an :censored: of a full-time sup didn't like a guy and whacked him on their last day of probation (like in my case) or they got fired only to have success at places like Amazon or Fedex who are a lot stricter imo...
Can you find any language in the National Master that says if you made progression as a Bid Air Driver (part-time), move on to Combo Inside/Inside and get red-circled on your top air rate, then within 2 years go into Feeders, your pay drops down to starting Feeder rate?
If so, guess that's on...

Hey I am a 22 year old with a BA in economics. I've been working for UPS for 4 months. One week as an unloader and I've been working as a part time supervisor ever since.
I was wondering if anyone could give me pointers to becoming a full timer anytime soon. Would staying in Operations be my...
I mean this sincerely to all my good union brothers and sisters, fulltime and partime: DON’T LOSE YOUR COOL because of the mess UPS mismanagement has put us in.
As a feeder driver, I bumble around from hub to hub supporting various preloads in my district. I’ve seen a lot of anxiety, stress...

I’m still in my qualifying period. I’ve got the diad down, the stop car routine and all that down pretty well. My area and route knowledge is not too bad. The only thing bothering me is my damn knees. I always thought that when i got this opportunity, that i would run with it for 25 years and 4...
Forced six days. The union has failed us.
We still, as individuals, control the work.
Walk, don’t run. Hand trucks are for pushing, not pulling. If you need a strap to keep your packages in place, you are overloaded. Hell, you shouldn’t be using a strap to begin with. Utilize crosswalks and...

Hi,
I started as a part-time supervisor back in May. I have a degree but I haven't been able to find a decent position. I was wondering what are the raises for part-time sup's? Are there any bonuses? You can obviously tell that my compensation at this position is very low. With a degree, can I...

I was a bid Air Driver part-time for about 5 years. One of the best jobs I've ever had. Evening pickups which were the same every day, no mental stress, virtually same variables every day, and I only worked about 20-23 hours per week so I could still actually...
