rehired

If I worked as a union employee and built up seniority then I got hired as a full time technical non-union position and was forced to be rehired in order to take the job. Is there any way possible to get that seniority back or anyone to talk to about it ?

In October 2017 I was let go due to being off a year on medical leave and not returning. Worked for UPS for 11 years. Anyone ever heard of being rehired with the same seniority/benefits/retirement etc you left with?

There are 20+ of us being kept on after seasonal for preloading in my hub. If we all have the same senority date, who has most senority? Everyone seems to be in for the long haul and most hope to drive eventually. I've read through the contract but can't find the answer. Thanks.
