We saw what happened when we gave tax cuts to corporations. They raised prices and shrunk product size all while bragging about record profits

Trump is talking about cutting the federal work force, but civilian federal jobs only account for about 5% of the budget

The biggest parts of our budget is social security, Medicare and the military

Trumps cabinet picks so far are nearly all billionaires. I don’t believe they have the working class interest in mind. I think their goal will be to line their pockets as much as possible while the gettins good

Nearly all billionaires? Name them? A few billionaires. And Musk and Ramaswamy aren't Cabinet members.

“The net result will be the wealthiest administration in US history – worth a total of $340bn at the start of this week, before Trump further boosted its monetary value by trying to appoint at least three more billionaires.”

Most of that net worth is Musk and he isn't in the Cabinet. Neither is Ramaswamy. Some billionaires. And you know why? Trump is assembling a team that knows how to get things done. A far cry from the last administration. Pete Buttigeig for Transportation Secretary? What did he know about transportation? Class envy from you when we are swamped with debt and have to make tough choices. And Washington doesn't want the gravy train to end. And the useful idiots are backing Washington.

Billionaires only care about making themselves richer, not the working class

The top 5 richest peoples wealth have doubled since 2020, how about the rest of us?

Putting more billionaires in power will only widen that gap, as history has shown

Their wealth doubled primarily from their stock holdings. Did Elon Musk make his billions screwing over the working man? Or did he create companies that provided goods and services that people want which increased the stock's value? Created a lot of jobs doing that and a lot of wealth for investors including in 401k's. Class envy doesn't get the working man a better life. There are very wealthy men who got there screwing their employees no doubt. Go after them with unions.

Fair enough and good point. But at the same time on the other end, how can we say inflation is high and the economy is terrible when billionaires are making more than ever, stock market all time high, but the working class is struggling so much?

Something isn’t adding up, and the working class doesn’t seem to be getting the same kind of rewards for their labor that the upper class is

It takes money to make money and in this economy the working man hasn't seen his earnings rise with the increase in prices. By the way it's a relatively small group of major stocks that have propped up the stock market. A lot of companies have lower stock prices.

One of your many problems is that you don’t seem able to accept that you can do quite well if you don’t act like a pusillanimous and complain about others and their fortune.
If you can’t prosper in this country, it’s 100% because the problem is YOU!

Depends what your definition of prosperity is.
