You have to build the houses to alleviate the crisis. And where are those 1400 acres located? If they're in Dallas that's one thing. If it's cow pasture near the Rio Grande that's quite another. With all the open ranch land in Texas I don't understand why you think 1400 acres would solve the housing crisis?

I think some of you are missing the point. All Texas is doing is providing some acreage to round up all the illegals before they are tossed back across the border. This land isn't being used to provide a permanent settlement for these law breakers.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea he has that because Texas has 1400 acres they can give/loan the Federal government that there's really no housing crisis.

I think it's likely we're only going to send Mexicans back across the border. The rest will be flown home.

It is farmland near the border Texas recently bought. Texas Land Commission has 13 million acres so I think they can spare that 1400.

All they’re gonna do is make a tunnel and come right back. So basically all we’re doing is stalling, but the good thing is maybe we can filter some out this time.
