So I can agree with this post. It's the first of yours on this topic that I can agree with to some extent and I'm actually really happy to find that common ground. Where I start to disagree is when you insinuate that it's my job to insulate the company on this issue. It's not. Point blank, period, full-stop. I don't want the company to do poorly. I don't want us to lose money. I don't want Teamsters to lose their job. And the fact of the matter is NONE OF THIS WOULD EVEN BE ON THE TABLE IF THEY HAD ACTED IN GOOD FAITH UPON RATIFICATION. I can't lose that thought. It boomerangs back to me after every post of yours that I read. So at the end of the day, yes, I will absolutely pick up the slack but the union's acquiescence on this issue is going to cause at least two changes in my mentality immediately: First and foremost, I'm going to look at our union leaders (from my local steward all the way up to O'brien himself) as clowns. They're not to be trusted, they don't have my interests in mind and their efforts only strive to provide misinformation to the workforce they pretend to protect. Secondly, I'm going to lose all my friendly with anybody that shows up to work wearing a polo that has a UPS shield on it instead of in full Browns.
