Yeah Zimmerman acted wrongly, he made stupid decisions and possibly prejudiced actions, but the case and charges brought to him did not apply. The prosecution went for murder because of outside pressure when the evidence could at best support manslaughter. If the prosecution went after a manslaughter charge they might have won, or at that point offered something like reckless endangerment as a plea Zimmerman might have taken it. The outside pressure to go for murder with the evidence ensured that if there was a reasonable jury it'd never be a conviction.</p></blockquote><p></p>
