TRIP, blah blah blah blah, your starting to sound like charlie browns teacher. Look, if this country was serious about immigration, and specifically republicans, placing armed soldiers on the border isnt the answer. The answer lies with finding a solution as to why they come here in the first place. JOBS, money, infrastructure. If we started in mexico, and forced american companies to pay living wages then that would be a start to keeping them in mexico. If american companies in mexico were forced to pay for infrastructure repairs through taxes, so roads could be maintained, electricity could be spread around, running water sent to all homes and retail establishments stocked with food, then they wouldnt have to come here any longer. Mexico along with the help of the us goverment has kept it a third world nation. This ranking in the third world only perpetuates the immigration problem for us. As long as maytag and the others are paying 11 american dollars a day for a 10 hour shift, then they will only stay in that job long enough to save to come here and make 75 dollars a day standing in front of home depot. Second, we need to agressively stop the hiring of illegals here in this country, but we as americans have to accept the unintended consequence of that action. Higher prices will arise if you kick them all out. Goods and Services will be forced to raise prices and we cannot complain about it. The republicans should call for legal actions against any employer presently using an illegal workforce. To date, they dont even mention that. Armed border guards is the answer. Instead, republicans want to INCREASE the number of temp work visas because they say employers need the workers from mexico, but what they dont say is that almost 100% of those workers who come in on a work visa will never leave once here. They shoot themselves in the foot with there own policies and then want to complain about it. Hypocrites. If there were NO jobs for them here in any capacity, then they would not come here. If american companies in mexico payed a living wage then they would not come here. If the mexican goverment was forced to provide infrastructure change to all cities in mexico, then they would not come here. 43% of all jobs in mexico are currently provided by an american company. Thats a fact. The average YEARLY wage for a mexican worker employed by an american company is 3400 a year. Divide that by 12 and you get 283 a month, then divide by 4 and you get 70.83 then divide by 5 and you get 14 dollars a day, then the employees pay a flat tax of 3% and they take home less than 11 bucks a day. And you want them to stay in mexico?? For 11 bucks a day? They would rather risk their lives in the desert or simply walking off a plane and overstaying a visa. You want immigration reform? Then understand the immigration problem first. Peace.
