What’s wrong with a feeder driver biding an inside job? Through no fault of their own maybe they can no longer possess a CDL or obtain a medical card. Shouldn’t they be able to use their seniority to bid an inside job? I’m a little perplexed by your response. Regardless of one’s personal perspective, right is right. Hard fought longevity and seniority is often all you have . I’ve never seen someone make a move based on a personal vendetta. Never seen a 20-30 year package car driver go to feeders just so he could bump or jump seniority of some off the street guy for the sole purpose of pissing them off. Never seen a feeder driver do the same in reverse to packages. I’ve also never seen a driver of any type bid a inside job regardless of reason to to purposely “step in front” of someone whose already there. BUG, your perspective is a bit puzzling to me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You have yours , I have mine. Being a union official , who I’d thought that you’d be a very strong advocate or promoter of what’s best for the employees. A employee who changes classification for whatever reason shouldn’t go to the very bottom of that classifications seniority. That is not what is best for the employees in my opinion.
