This is more for us northern members, the canadian goverment fell yesterday, 17 months into it`s mandate, so now for Christmas, we have celebration with family, gifts for the kids, turkey suppers and a federal election. There will be a lot of talk of adscam corruption and seperation. Are all you canadians ready for it

The big day is tomorrow.I predict that the Bloc will be dominant in Quebec, and the Conservatives will be forming a minority government with the NDP getting a few more votes this time around.Hopefully enough that the liberals will play a very minor roll in future decisions. With taxes rising every year and fuel costs increasing the last thing Canada needs is a government that is corrupt, lining thier pockets with our hard earned tax dollars. I could be way off on my predictions. Maybe there`s enough ill informed tax payers who are either afraid of change,or just turning a blind eye to all those well off liberals in thier little self made den of thieves to actually give them another chance to screw us.

I heard that the Conservatives will be the winners.......just someone's opinion I overheard on a news show. Either way, good luck with whatever you get.:)

I have a feeling the liberals might get more seats in Quebec than anticipated the conservative vote will dilute the vote from the Bloc letting the liberals to skin through..All I hope is that a lot of ministers lose their seats in Quebec.

there are 3 ministers in quebec who are in danger of losing their seat in parlement, Jean Lapierre, the quebec leutenant. Liza Frulla, Pierre Pettigrew, Lucienne Robillard is well anchored in her riding. Our prime minister is going against a female bloc candidate of Chinese descent who gave birth to a daughter 6 days ago. I would laugh if she got a seat...

minority conservative goverment, thing should be quiet for at least 2 years, the liberals have to find a new leader... but the fun part is the independant candidate in Portneuf has the balance of power...Andre Arthur is a mini Howard Stern...

Guys:
1. The Liberals were ousted for several scandals : Adscam, Insider trading, the 95 referendum with Option Canada.
2. the other options were the NDP (a socialist party) the Bloc Quebecois ( a seperatist party that is only found in Quebec) the green party which is a fairly new party with very little visibility.
3. Harper is prime minister of a minority goverment, this means he has to be very careful or we will be in another election soon ( figure 2 Years max), he has 124 seats. On the plus side the liberals do not have a leader and they can`t afford to go into elections until after their leadership race is over...So harper does have some leeway.
4. As we say TIME WILL TELL...
5. I just hope he does a good job and the taxpayers doesn`t get screwed again.
