Got a first hand look at a Pan America Harley. It was in a ugly blue color. It's a BIG bike. Very tall. I'm 6 ft. but anyone shorter and you are never going to be flat footed on that thing. Has at least a foot of space at the rear fender and tire. Putting bags and a top case will make that thing very top heavy. It'll be over 5-600 lbs loaded. It's really just a big, tall street bike(heavy). Looked very out of place at the dealership in a sea of Harley's.....looked like any Jap street bike. At $25k, I might buy one used in 10 years....but then I don't know if I'll be interested at 70 yo. I will say this......if that bike was $10k......I'd bought one yesterday(Sat.) If they put that engine(150hp)(stock) in cruisers.....they will have something. But not at $30k...... Different note: I was in the dealer buying parts for my 95 Softail Nostalgia and very surprised at the amount of obsolete parts for older Harley's. I can buy parts easier for my 77 Sportster....just about anything in the aftermarket.
