Relying on loud pipes to signal your whereabouts assumes drivers will actually hear it or be paying attention and relies on them to react appropriately. I ride as if nobody can even see me let alone hear me, and keep track of every driver in my immediate area at all times and proactively ride in anticipation of their worst possible move. When a driver becomes a threat, my reaction is to follow the plan I already had in place expecting them to <img src="/community/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/group1/censored2.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":censored2:" title="Censored2    :censored2:" data-shortname=":censored2:" /> up in the first place.</p></blockquote><p></p>
