These are the processes that work below the surface. It is important to understand these things because it is the most basic levels of our consciousness. All of our thoughts and beliefs are built on several assumptions that develop as we develop our theory of self. The better you understand your assumptions, the better you understand yourself and can identify your biases. That is the first step towards aligning your understanding more closely with objective reality. Without that, you are a leaf blowing around in the wind.</p></blockquote><p></p>
