That will never happen. There is a 12 dollar insert that goes into the Diad 3 slot that holds both the new Diad 5 and 4 at the same time.

My center is still on 4 but I worked in a different center last week so got to try out the diad 5 and that does look similar.

My center just started replacing all the DIAD holders...

The new ones are orangish and hold both the DIAD 4 and 5.

We're still on 4, but presumably 5 is coming soon.

My back pocket works just fine, thank you.

You well get the soft sided version in black, you hold it in place by wearing a belt. Back pocket works fine too, mine is already wearing out after only 6 months of use.

they're just holders now. They haven't been connected with a hot wire since the 3's.

Diad 5 is OK. You will get a holder in truck that holds both 4 and 5. I use the 4 slot to hold calls and del-notes. Some guys wear the pouch on the belt, some don't.

I was thinking more of a way to carry it on your person , that stupid oversize pouch sucks and I never use the one in the truck except back and forth to the hub

I use the plastic insert on the 4 so I can use my 4 belt clip.
