Message: <blockquote data-quote="Brown Spider" data-source="post: 2030104" data-attributes="member: 52461">What a load of crap!  The "court order review board"?  Are you talking about the Independent Review Board?  The IRB does not have, and never did have, the authority to impose a jail sentence.  The most extreme penalty they can impose is a lifetime ban.  They could not have offered a ban in lieu of jail in return for testimony.  The IRB hearing was in July of '98 and Carey was banned.  In January of '01 he was indicted by the U.S. District Court Southern District on 7 counts of perjury.  He was found NOT Guilty by a jury of his peers in October of '01.Nice spin Belly, but pure BS as usual.</blockquote>
