Getting Paid in Advance for Vacation?

Is there any way to stop getting paid in advance for vacation? Is this something that was agreed upon with the union?

I like getting my check every Friday. I don't like it when I miss a Friday with no check. Its not that big of a deal I am not going to starve or lose my house over it. I have always wondered why do they do this.

What difference does it make? If you don't have DD, just hang onto your vacation check....and cashing the week you come back from vacation (the week you don't have a check coming).

Vacations are paid two weeks in advance instead of the Friday before because IF there were an error it could be corrected before penalty steps are taken by the union AND so it won't mess up your vacation. You should appreciate the effort.

I can send one of my 7 year olds piggy banks to you if that will help.
