Like you said,"but that was in another era".....when black people had to sit in the rear of the bus, women couldn't vote, father knew best, and we left it to Beaver....back in an era when you could pay a doctor cash for an office visit. Wake up...we live in a new era, where healthcare cost, Rx and premiums have skyrocketed so disproportional to our wages. I would also like to know how providing Iraq'ee citizens healthcare became a right before US citizens. Why ? Because we blew up their country ? As the richest country in the world, it's a disgrace not to be able to provide access to healthcare to all our citizens, yet even some third world countries do. So yes, healthcare should be a right for all, the good, the bad, the ugly. the needy, and yes, even right wingers (especially free mental evaluations)....just like the right to bear arms.....Now, wouldn't that be very right wing christian like ? That's what Jesus would want, right ? I know how it works....we've been living in a GREEN society for years now. And I not talking clean energy....just follow the MONEY. Glad to hear Gramps is ok, but hearing the majority of Canadians on sateilite radio, which BTW has a hugh Canadain fan base as well, their overall acceptance to their Healthcare coverage is positive, and the sick and injured are treated in priority order... As far as seeing a Doc in an hour....where do you live Mayberry? Or are you referring to some random Walk-In Health Center. Takes me about a 3-5 days on a slow week to schedule an appt to see my GP Doc. That's because he's popular, he's good, and I don't live in the sticks.... Dude, you seriously need to shy away from all those right wing fear mongering web sites, or you may lapse into shock and become a burden to the healthcare system....
