Hohman included in his analysis 18 government deals that included loans, rebates, grants and tax credits. The amount of government assistance does not include the fact that General Motors is currently <a href="http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/general_motors_corporation/index.html" target="_blank">26 percent owned</a> by the federal government.</p></blockquote><p></p>
