Seems a major conservative player is liking what he sees in Obama these days!

Now the question is, whose scratching their heads more right now, democrats who screamed on the evils of neo-conservatism under Bush or republicans who scream about the socialism of Obama? Or could they both be the same thing?

Hey, if Bill Kristol endorses "Socialist" Obama does that mean Bill Kristol and by extension Neo-Conservatives are themselves......dare I say it, dare I say it, dare I say it........Socialists too! There I said it!
:happy-very:

Oh wait, Bill Maher sez President Obama is doing everything perfect in Libya so is Bill Maher now Neo-Con too or are you conservatives really socialists like Maher?

:surprised:OMG!

You should have made that argument nearly 12 years ago!
Twelve years ago, I had no outlet for political opinions or thoughts. I was too busy attending kindergarten & first grade programs at the school my grandkids attended and being the oldest person in the audience. (we were their caretakers at that time). Then Browncafe came along @ 2000 and the rest is history.

No, no, no. In the 2 years we had them, their mom was able to 'get well' and took them back........thank goodness circumstances were such that hubby left UPS in 2000 and we were able to take care of the girls. We'll always have that special bond with them.
They are now 15 & 16......and they grew mouths (if you know what I mean!):wink2:

Obama has nothing to fear in 2012. He will win re-election hands down. The republicans cannot field any decent candidates that could possibly have a shot of unseating him.

What the republicans have done is to create its own "in house" monster with the tea party, and while its busy destroying themselves, Obama will cruise to victory.

Of all the characters who are speaking the loudest on the right, everyone of them has made a gaft that will prevent them from winning the republican nomination.

Michele Bachman especially. Everytime she opens her mouth she makes a serious error and misquotes or flat out misrepresents some fact because she cant remember the correct talking point without a written speech in her hand.

All the others are just too dumb to run..

Pawlenty
Palin
Trump
Bachman
Huckabee

They are like the Jersey shore cast, only with nicer clothes, but the plot is the same, hang out together and make stupid comments for 30 mins.

Peace.

You left out Romney. He's got some issues, but if he gets the nomination he can win. Not saying it would be a lock or anything because a lot is going to happen between now and 2012 and a lot will depend on factors that the candidates can't control. I agree that the ones you listed are pretty much non starters, with the possible exception of Pawlenty.

So the most liberal members of this board are going to vote for Obummer again? What a shocker! I know there is no convincing any of you, but the guy will be lucky to make it to the next inauguration day to hand the keys to his(hopefully conservative) successor. He already has very low approval numbers along with members of his own party talking impeachment. What most of us on the right already feared would happen is starting to occur and that is runaway inflation sparked by this administration's policies. Yes boys and girls its time to hop back into the way back machine and go back to the time when our nations 2nd worst President Jimmy Carter was in office to get an idea of what is coming down the pike. Checked out fuel prices lately? The head of Walmart is warning of severe price increases starting as early as June as nearly every commodity price has been skyrocketing. If this must occur the best time will be during the Presidential election cycle exposing Obummer to the public as the horrible President that he is. Yes, elections have consequences, and generations to come will be reeling from those consequences of the 2008 election.

Its still hard to say who is going to become President in January 2013, but I can assure you that there is a 90% chance it won't be Obama. It could be a successful primary challenger on the democratic side, but that chance is still slim. I'm going to bet on a Republican dark horse so to speak. Someone who's name nobody is talking about yet is on the verge of or is in the beginning stages of running for President. Someone from far out in right field who is a solid conservative who understands the dire straights this country is in, and will understand the free market principles needed to bring this country out of it. Its going to take a strong President to succeed this very weak one we have now, and unfortunately I have little reason to believe the current big names on the Republican side will ultimately become "the one".

Mitt has the magic underpants. You have to have a white shirt, skinny black tie, and ride a bike to get some. Oh, and the cool namebadge too.

Romney could always say...."see, we tried the health bill in my state, didn't work, so let's not burden the entire country"

free at last.......
There's one good thing about a President in his second term........he's not running for anything after that, so he can make the hard choices.
Not saying it will happen....but it's more likely to.
The only thing that will save this country is to do away with re-elections. When representatives are in a constant state of campaigning....nothing gets done. I've seen less fighting on a grade school playground.
One term limit would take some of the campaign money out of the equation along with the worry that comes along with doing the right thing for the country.
I don't hold out much hope that it will happen and that will be a real shame.
