I only take advil on the job if I have a headache. Muscle aches and soreness I power through. If it's bad enough I'll take advil when I get home, but try to only take it when absolutely necessary, sometimes a warm shower and/or alcohol is enough to take the edge off. On days when I deliver/pickup 600 plus pieces with lots of 30-50 pounders, my joints start to ache enough that I can't sleep, advil usually takes care of that. I've had ongoing tendonitis in just about every joint in my body at one point or another. I'm finally at a point where that's all healed up. In my experience soreness and aches are usually due to improper conditioning. Once your body adjusts to what you're doing, it becomes less of an issue.
