The lower elevations never got above freezing today, everything was coated with frost and freezing fog, visibility was less than 1/8 of a mile. Then when I headed uphill, I broke through that layer and it was sunny clear and about 15 degrees warmer. Usually it is just the opposite, I get up on the hill and its fogged in and icy. I took this pic at a dropoff on my route that is a popular jumpoff point for local hang gliders.
