Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6157820" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>When I was investigating Mexico 20+ years ago I ran across discussions on forums talking about how xenophobic Mexicans are.  I met some wonderful people in Mexico and a few who glared at me like I didn't belong.  But it's not surprising that Mexicans who built very nice neighborhoods in Mexico City and are being priced out by wealthier newcomers are reacting this way.  I experienced the same thing in Colorado where very wealthy.Californians and New Yorkers were building log palaces and raising property values so high that families who had been there for generations were having to sell out to pay property taxes.  A lot of tension in the western U.S.  Currently in Spain a lot of locals are doing the same.  They built a beautiful country and are being priced out of it by wealthy expats.</p></blockquote><p></p>
