Interesting take on the situation. You may be right what the government did was completely legal. Very very wrong, immoral, decietful, but maybe not illegal.

Exactly. I am totally opposed to what they did. That’s not the place for Government. Democrats or Republicans. But they did not violate the First Amendment.

Neither did Twitter. Although they also should not have censored posts. But what they did was also not illegal.

The Government never threatened Twitter. They asked. Not illegal.

Now, if there is the threat by the Government of removing special exemptions if Twitter doesn't "play ball," you may have a case. If Twitter thinks these exemption may be taken away so they did what asked, well that's on Twitter. Twitter was never threatened. The Government asked and Twitter obliged. Like I said, they would have done it anyway. The Government should have stayed out of it, but it was not a First Amendment violation.
Going behind the scenes to get a company to silence critics is a flat out violation of the 1st Amendment rights of those affected. There's no gray area here.

It seems as though a lot of you want to see the Hunter Biden non consensual pictures, yet have no problem with Donnie demanding people not say bad things about him. PAB

The Government did not force Twitter to silence critics. Twitter did that all by themselves because of their own agenda.

The Government did not violate the First Amendment and the First Amendment doesn’t apply to Twitter.

Baloney. Who got Twitter to do it? They can't legally do that.

Who can’t legally do that? Twitter? Yes they can. The Government? The Government didn’t force Twitter to do anything.

Twitter is a far left leaning Company. They will do almost anything to support the Democrats and hinder the Republicans.

Twitter silenced the critics all by themselves. Immoral? Maybe. Illegal? No.

I’m still laughing about trump demanding that Twitter remove Chrissy Teigen’s tweet calling him names that hurted his feelings

All by themselves? Really?

Sure would have. They deleted Trump all by themselves.
And deleted numerous conservatives and vaccine skeptics at the behest of the Biden government. As to your post we aren't talking about the legality of what Twitter did. It was a violation of the 1st Amendment getting citizens removed from the "public square" by the government. If on the up and up why the secrecy? The government wanted them shut down, and used Twitter's right to do so. If you can't see the conflict of interest there, the violation of rights, then you're too partisan. If it had been a Republican administration doing the same with Twitter and the rest of Big Tech enabling them the Left would be screaming bloody murder.
