"No valor here!"? What the Maspeth 250 did took a lot of backbone! They stood up to an employer who has a well deserved reputation for running roughshod over their workers. They grew tired and angry at the constant violations of their contract and the blatant attacks by UPS on their co-workers. Don't try to downplay or cheapen their actions simply because the confrontation they engaged in was a bit more than you would be able to stomach. And don't try to give all the credit to one BA, who, from what I saw in the video, did tell people they could be disciplined, fired or suspended, and that whether they went right back in or stayed out there, they should all do it together. They made a choice to stand up to UPS! Granted, it's apparently not the choice that you would have made, but it's the same choice made by those soldiers in that hostile land, those firemen rushing into the WTC and activists around the country 55 years ago confronting racism. The Maspeth 250 were "doing the right thing"! I understand that you're not comfortable with that because it wasn't the easy thing to do and it wasn't the safe thing to do. But it was the right thing to do! There will come a time in resolution discussions between the Union and UPS, or through a decision of an Arbitrator, that those 250 Maspeth drivers will be reinstated based on the language in the contract that gave them the right to engage in that protected activity. When that happens, I hope you won't be foolish enough to tell them that there was "No valor here"!
