Intelligence agencies looking for stolen nuclear from the Cold War. My understanding is that 80 nuclear weapons are unaccounted for. Drones can detect that stuff!

Then that calls into question, Who is behind this ?
Given that other countries are also having the same incidents.
Is it the U.N. ?

No idea, but when you have unaccounted nuclear weapons which were lost in Ukraine forty years ago and you have a developing technology that possibly can be useful based on credible intelligence you use it. Drones are worthless at night except for a very specific use, like nuclear detection etc.

The use of drones is now specifically prohibited across 22 infrastructure sites in New Jersey and another 29 in New York state for 30 days after a spike in drone sightings across eastern states.

Pilots operating in restricted zones risk being intercepted and detained by law enforcement, the FAA made clear.

Now the WH is calling the sailors on a USCG boat liars.
The drones were directly overhead of their boat and followed them as they changed course.
The WH is saying that the sailors were actually seeing airplanes.
