You can have kids without being married (though I don't want that either anyway) and even if she makes a lot of money, in the event of divorce she'd still be the one getting half of my assets in alimony. I more than likely wouldn't see a dime of hers.

I'm entitled to 3/4 of my wife's income since I worked and put her through school


I wouldn't want to have a kid outside of marriage. Much easier this way.
