You don't have to do that. You just lift the clutch when it's in neutral then push it down again, then shift. Then it's smooth as...not silk, but smooth as something.

Man every one of them I couldn’t figure out. My on car supervisor was getting frustrated at me. Had to tell them look I drive a manual everyday. I know how to do it. So they tried and they sucked worse lol.
