Service has already started increasing and will reach 24 flights per week in January, 2012. This is a substantial increase compared with 14 flights per week in January 2011. Over 100,000 passengers flew between EIA and Phoenix in 2011, making it EIA’s second-most popular US destination, just behind Las Vegas. “Phoenix is a top pick for many leisure travellers, but the increased service will also be of tremendous benefit to business travellers,” said Peter McCart, EIA’s Vice-President of Strategy. “Phoenix is a popular US Airways hub that provides excellent connections to the southwestern US and Latin America,” added McCart.
