Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 5258191" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>You just don't get it.  The developing world needs copper.  China needs huge amounts.  EV's use a lot more copper and silver than ICE vehicles.  Our housing industry needs copper.  And the availability of silver is diminishing.  Other countries are big consumers of silver too, especially India.  It's not a matter of whether Musk can source it.  It's a matter of scarcity.  That's going to drive prices way up and that'll limit who can afford a Tesla.  There won't be the equivalent of a $25k gas car that the masses can buy.  If they truly get rid of gas cars then mass transportation will be radically different in the future.</p></blockquote><p></p>
