BA Nope. I didn't like the way things were going with my Local, Joint Council 41 and the Ohio Conference of Teamsters. I was in it for the members, not the cars, golf outings and other perks to make me a lot of money. I tried to bring change, but the old guard stood strong. I lost. So did the members that I represented. Eventually, one of the old guard involved got what was coming to him, or at least is no longer here. https://www.toledoblade.com/business/2016/06/17/Teamsters-Local-20-president-president-Bill-Lichtenwald-steps-down-amid-internal-probe-Panel-alleges-financial-improprieties/stories/20160617071 Things have changed since then. I do believe that you are, were, in it for the members also. There is still corruption, to a small extent, but nothing like it used to be. I am still a proud Teamster and still fight for the members, just not in any official capacity anymore. Read my posts. I don't cackle. I also don't charge members for advice. The past is in the past. I will not bring the past back up again. The Union has changed, for the better. Let's focus on what we can do now, and in the future, not what we did in the past. I know who @Bubblehead is. He is a good example of what we can do now, and in the future. He lost in the past, many times. But he doesn't bring it up. He always looked to the future, and look at where he is now. He stands for the members and I would be proud to have him represent me.
