The work is just as hard for a part timer as it is for a full timer. We have hubs that have both part time and full time shifts. They do the same work. There is no reason that a part timer should be penalized in pay. They are after all getting fewer hours. If I had remained part time I would be making 35 cents an hour less than a full timer. At a 17 1/2 hour weekly guarantee I would be living just above the Federal poverty level for a family of 5.  A second job would be necessary to get by somewhat comfortably.</p></blockquote><p></p>
