Message: <blockquote data-quote="soberups" data-source="post: 1598676" data-attributes="member: 14668"><p>To be fair, we had a situation a few years back where a Portland police officer nearly got killed because a news helicopter was filming a SWAT team raid on a house and televising it live, thus giving the bad guy inside the house a birds-eye view of where the officers surrounding his house were hiding. The public has a right to know, but that information can certainly be withheld until such time as the threat has been dealt with. I think the FAA came up with a rule prohibiting helicopter flights below 3,000 feet over an active crime scene in order to prevent it from happening again.</p></blockquote><p></p>
