Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 5109487" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>The Republicans need a candidate who would be as effective as Trump without setting off the rabid Left.  Problem is any Republican who is effective would set off alarm bells with the Dems who don't want a successful capitalist in the White House.  No matter what we'll get the same dog and pony show if the Dems get back in power.  The only chance we'll have for an effective Democrat controlled Congress with a Republican president is if the Democrats are suddenly a bunch of Joe Manchins.  It seems there's no pretense of doing what's right for the country anymore.  It's just a power grab.</p></blockquote><p></p>
