Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 3831694" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>Heard today that Jerry Brown vetoed a bill in 2016 that would have allowed better managing of the forests.  He's saying now that was a mistake and is looking to pass a bill that would allow property owners to harvest without permits trees less than three feet in diameter on properties less than 300 acres.  Environmentalists are against it.  Turns out that for about 50 years homeowners haven't been allowed without permit to cut down trees due to lawsuits and court orders.  So even in non National Forests massive amounts of fuel have been allowed to grow.</p></blockquote><p></p>
