But viewing his total war presidency and authoritarianism as a good way to govern makes me sick. It should be looked back on a necessary evil we should stay away from at all cost, not a new normal for America.Like Lincoln, he did a great job and kept the union intact, but we wouldn’t want every president to govern in that manner while not facing catastrophe.
