Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 5950494" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>How they act doesn't excuse how I act.  They can call each other that if they like.  They can hate me for just being white if they like.  I've known plenty of blacks who've never indicated they had a problem with me.  And plenty of them who were seething with hatred.  But I'm not going to add fuel to the fire by calling them the N word.  It's not constructive.  And a sure fire way to get me labeled as a racist and cause doubt and mistrust among those who treated me with respect before.  It's a tool used by those who know what kind of nerve it hits and they take pleasure in using it.  Seems a change in their hearts is necessary.</p></blockquote><p></p>
