Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6054302" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>Heard tonight they're supposed to have 30 ATC's but only had 19.  Nationwide problem.  And experts have been warning about all the near misses and that sooner or later there would be a tragedy.  Also used to be that if an ATC had two near misses he was decertified and retrained.  Now they get immunity with no retraining or losing their job.  And the Biden head of the FAA said they were going to focus on diversity and stopped hiring from about 20 universities with ATC training because those program graduates were too white.  The problem with manning shortage is finding qualified applicants who also meet the diversity criteria.</p></blockquote><p></p>
