Message: <blockquote data-quote="Undertow" data-source="post: 5641411" data-attributes="member: 4550">I don't think I'd put the blame all on one generation.  It's not as if all of them at once decided individually to go max out their first ever credit card on a spring break trip to Florida.  There's plenty of 20-somethings out there today who arrived at adulthood having watched their parents work plenty hard only to get laid off due to mergers and consolidations while being told the only way to have a shot at a middle class life was to get a 4 year university degree at a time when the price to attain that rose double to triple the cost from when they were in junior high school.  It's not as if those us who are now in our 40's and 50's were confronted with a change that abrupt on such a wide scale.It's plenty understandable that many of them would feel frustration.</blockquote>
