Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6028044" data-attributes="member: 24302">Big difference between an agreement and a treaty.  We have an agreement with Taiwan to give them aid.  We have a treaty with Japan to come to their defense.  Ukraine should have never given up their nukes without joining NATO first.  These small countries unfortunately are just geopolitical pawns.  Ukraine needs to acknowledge this and take what they can get in negotiations.  If I were them I'd wall off the new border with barriers that would make it extremely difficult in the future for Russia to invade.  But that takes money they don't have.  All wars come to an end eventually.  How badly must the country suffer before a deal is negotiated?</blockquote>
