How’s everyone’s 2022 treating y’all?

My wife wants wants me to transfer from Lynchburg to Charlottesville (about 1.5 hour drive)

Reason is because her parents live up there and my son has weekly appointments at the UVA hospital. I have about 5 years driving seniority. If I was to ask for a transfer would I have to be fired and rehired or can I transfer without losing my top pay and seniority?

I tried transferring to the Clarksville hub years ago. Basically told me I was SOL couldn’t afford to quit & start at bottom pay

I’ve been sent to the cville center a couple times to help their center when they got hit hard with Covid but I don’t know if they are in our local
