Trump didn’t go through witb tariffs, so they didn’t retaliate with their own tarrifs. The reason Trump didn’t do tarrifs, by his own admission, is the agreement they came to, but both Mexico and Canada were already doing or going to do the things set in place Tarrifs would have hurt them more than us. Trump can look like a master negotiator and they can just pretend he is, do what they were going to do anyways and not go through with the trade war</blockquote>
