Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6094047" data-attributes="member: 24302">Can't imagine her having the imagination to even try tariffs so it's not even in the realm of speculation.  I do hope these tariffs work the way he believes they will.  Just occurred to me, so let's say this.  The Republicans wanted to replace Obamacare.  But they had no plan to replace it.  Likewise the Democrats wanted to mandate electric cars.  Were pushing for it very quickly but didn't have the electrical grid to handle that.  Or the EV technology that could replace ICE cars.  So it collapsed.  So Trump is trying something on a grand scale that hasn't been done before in a market this big and diverse.  Will it succeed?  Will stocks collapse, bringing down the retirement of millions?  Above my pay grade.</blockquote>
