Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 6098339" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>Because a return to what we had beforehand that gave working people affordable healthcare but left out the poor would never fly politically today.  You need to realize the voting public is relatively equal with the two main parties and elections hinge on the independents anymore.  Trump is taking a huge political risk for Republicans so expect some serious unease within the ranks.  Same thing happened with many Democrats up for reelection who tried to distance themselves from Biden.  Whether the Republicans get slammed in the midterms hinges on whether what Trump is trying succeeds.  The Dems of course will be screaming it isn't working all the way to the midterms so we'll have to see what the official numbers are and whether people start sensing a real improvement in their bottom line.</p></blockquote><p></p>
