I work at UPS and go to X college. The semester ended the third week in December, and the school shut down afterwards and we had a longer break than normal. The Tuesday after I got back I sent my application into UPS to get approved. I kept checking online and it said that the application was pending. I called UPS two weeks later and they said that I did not have the correct paperwork, so the next day I faxed it in.
5 weeks later I got a check in the mail and I took it to X college. However, because I couldn't pay the deferment fee (that allows me to put it off at the beginning of the semester until the last semesters tuition was paid) I now owe the college about $2400. Since it took UPS 5 weeks to process and mail the check is there any way that I can appeal this so that UPS will pay for it?
