UPS driver dies in two-vehicle collision in southern Tulare County - MSN
A 25-year-old UPS driver died in a two-vehicle collision near Pixley, according to California Highway Patrol.
Around 3:30 p.m. Friday, CHP officers were called to the collision on Avenue 120 just west of Highway 99.
When officers arrived they discovered a UPS box truck and a tractor-trailer, driven by Jose Blancas, were both eastbound. Blancas tried to pass the UPS truck, traveling east in the westbound lane, according to CHP. The right front of the semi-truck struck the driver’s door of the UPS truck.
CHP said the UPS driver was not wearing a seatbelt and fell out of his truck from the impact. He was run over by the semi and died at the scene.
