It could very well be user error….but I am not liking the Empower 401k app. I cannot seem to be able to log into my self managed fund. I can see the balance, but am unable to perform any functions. On the Prudential site, you would click on “brokerage” andd it would bring you to the external self managed site. Please help this deplorable out…thank you.

About a month ago they changed the brokerage to this link. I think you will have to register again. Have account number ready. Should be a phone number also if needed. I don’t believe the app is planned to have brokerage capability in the near future.
A just got off a lengthy call with Empower. A phone call is necessary to gain access to a second app NetInvestor where the self managed portion is. The woman at Empower was the best customer service rep I have ever dealt with….simply phenomenal. She was patient and had a firm grasp on the process. The entire call took about 45 minutes. She was an English speaker and I have every reason to believe an American living and working in America. She was great. I must say I liked the Prudential management much better. The ability existed to transfer money from account to self management with a few clicks. I can only assume that to do so with Empower will require a phone call. CAVA, GOOGL, NVDA, FETH for all you drivers who don’t want to go through life as suckers and losers. Ditch that UPS stock and ball. That goes for you to Carol.

I'm having an issue with E-File for my 2024 tax returns.
I've tried several times and the IRS keeps rejecting me, along with my state return.
Seems they don't like my Empower 1099-R.
They continue to say that what I copied from the 1099-R does not match their records.
So, I'm forced to submit paper forms.
Hopefully, whoever does my paperwork at the IRS can fix it.

I didn't get my 1099-R's from UPS (BNY Mellon) until today. I got the one from Central States a couple of weeks ago. I just called about them yesterday and got a recording saying they wouldn't send any duplicates until after Feb 18.

The IRS rules Earth pretty liberal on how you can borrow money from A 401K. But the plan we have at work is very strict.
